New month, new title? After a bit of a lull, I have managed to get out the final book in the trilogy set in wartime Estonia. Foula and Beyond, is the final leg, but as such, takes the characters away from the war torn shores.
Most of the action is based in Shetland and Orkney, with a few trips elsewhere. Here’s the blurb:
1945
Having rescued his family from war-torn Estonia, Huw Williams is now a liaison officer in the Shetland Isles, with the Norwegian Resistance. With Germany on the brink of defeat, they are in an area of relative calm, but their peace is about to be disturbed.
Godfrey is once more at large, having escaped while being taken south for trial. He is loose somewhere in the Highlands of Scotland and appears to be heading towards Orkney and Shetland. Huw and Maarja’s son, Juhan, has to overcome many obstacles in his search for this elusive traitor, including the attitude of the agent with whom he is assigned to work. Can Juhan find Godfrey in time with only the agent, the help of his parents and the Norwegian men of the Shetland Bus?
The book is available online and I will follow up with a few more articles in the next few weeks about it.
